Press Reviews
"Zymotic Flow is a four piece band from New Jersey, with funky guitars and beautiful melodic vocals. Zamora's voice is quite rare. I haven't heard much of this style of singing since Pink Floyd. Some of the guitar riffs remind me of Red Hot Chili Peppers latest album, but it does not matter cause Zymotic Flow is indeed their own stuff and it sounds great!"-The Below Magazine, 2nd edition, 4th pg. "Zymotic Flow's new EP is, well...just GREAT! All of the five tracks follows each other just like on any good album. Some tracks are louder, some smoother and always, you can hear Jon zamora's beautiful and rare voice bringing the EP to a "masterpiece". It's just the originality of Zamora's voice, which makes the EP unique and this band to something we cannot wait to hear from! The last track is very relaxing, giving you a good feeling when the CD ends, and then you want to hear it over again. The boys have shown that they can do much more than Funk-Slow-Rock songs. Zymotic Flow is indeed a name that you must remember...Any label to decline this band better start thinking again. Zymotic Flow is a unique-new-rock band and it is what rock needs!"-

"Your voice is great and very radio friendly. The melodies in the guitar playing is very catchy. Your use of chords, picking and technique are very solid. You have something here, clearly. With some polishing and a game plan, you'll be more productive and have attainable goals set. Your talent and honorable personality will take you far in this world. I wish you much success and will work hard to help you in that pursuit of success and achievement"-Eugene Foley, J.D., Ph.D. President & Founder of Foley Entertainment, Inc. "Peaks and valleys, ebbs and flows. Technically the music is recorded well enough. The recording and engineering is at a level where you are able to accurately represent your compositions. The playing is adequate and the musicianship solid. The only performance aspect of your demo that might be problematic for you is the singing. It isn't very musical. If that is your style, more power to you. Certainly rap, hip hop and punk are not very musical genres so you may be okay. However, your songs are fairly musical. The juxtaposition may not be a very workable combination. The toughest obstacle you may have to overcome is finding a specific market for your music. Off the top of my head, I can't think of who your fan base might be. I can't think of any bands that you are similar to. That may be a good thing. It's great if you can carve out a niche for yourself. People are always looking for new and original music. You do have to consider the fact, however, that it may be challenging for most labels to find an audience for you. Your sound has to be easy to place in the market or you will face resistance. Just keep writing and try to find a middle ground between your style and what you think can be played on the radio as well what can be sold in the stores"-Sincerely, Brian Wittmer Director of A&R InsideSessions/Universal Music Group. |
