Artist History
A native of Kyoto, Japan, Yoshie Kubota now resides in New York City as a pianist since 1988.Ms. Kubota has appeared on Radio FM Osaka and performed in major cities in Japan including Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Kochi and Kyoto. In the USA, she has performed in California, Ohio, Washington DC, Connecticut and New York. She gave many solo recitals in New York City includes the "American Landmark Festival Concert Series", "Saint Peter's Classical Concert Series", "Donnell Library Afternoon Concert Series", "Brooklyne Public Library's Entertainment Series" and others. She perfomed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No.1 with a conducor Mr. Yutaka Sado in 1986 as the First Prize Winner of the Concerto Competition in Kyoto,Japan. Ms. Kubota has studied with Grant Johannesen, Toshiyuki Fukumoto, Katsuko Fukumoto and Tsugiko Oshibuchi. Got master classes with Jaques Rouvier and Edhith Picht-Axenfelt. She received her Master's degree in Piano Performance from The Mannes College of Music in New York City in 1990. |
