Artist History
April of '95 was Shawn's debut on the concert stage as an opener for a country concert in Bellingham, Washington. Another performance in June left the audience begging for more and lining up for autographs. The Northwest Washington Fair was the next stop, completing the year at a Lion's Club benefit concert in November. 1996 found Shawn and his band performing at the Cloverdale Rodeo in British Columbia, Canada. While there Shawn was also asked to sing the American and Canadian national anthems a Cappella. Various state fairs and events in both Washinton State and Canada made '96 and '97 exciting years. Always eager to support worthy causes, Shawn made his first television appearance on The Variety Club Show of Hearts Telethon. Making a firm commitment to country music found Shawn, his wife and their family (2 dogs and 2 horses), moving lock, stock and barrel across the country to the home of country music Nashville, Tennessee. Taking the city of Nashville literally by storm, they moved in on the same day that the '98 tornado tore through Nashville. |
