Artist History "A band that consists of intense passion with lyrics and songs drenched in lighter fuel and set on fire" This is what fans worldwide have come to acknowledge NP as. There is without a doubt an undeniable fire here. National Product has ignited stages all over the U.S. with bands like the Ataris, Midtown, Homegrown, Me First & The Gimme Gimme's and more, walking away every time with loads of new loyal fans and empty merchandise bins. The raw passion this band contains has people stopped in their tracks with eyes drawn at every show. When asked why this band, (originally from Oahu, Hawaii) had relocated to the music mecca of Southern California, singer/songwriter Danny C. said, " We were touring and being shopped by labels. We felt it was easier for NP to be more in our element where everything was happening. " California has been treating this 5 piece very well. After 6 months of writing music and playing shows, the band was approached by A&R from Capitol, Sony, Epic and Warner Brothers. They are currently focused on creating one last 7 song EP which will be self released before they make any jumps to larger markets. When asked why they chose this path, Danny C. stated, " We have been releasing our merchandise as well as our recordings independently, DIY (do it yourself) style from the beginning and we now feel that we are ready for a larger step in our career. So as a tribute to all the kids who have been there for us and the thousands of people who have purchased our merchandise, we want to be able to release this on our own on last time before we start to hand controls over to a larger label, larger management, larger booking etc. Its our way of saying thanks." National Product is not just your average band from Orange County. Crossing thousands of miles to get here shows more than dedication and NP has no intentions of leaving anytime soon. With a live show that has been compared to nothing less than captivating, the heat from National Product's live shows will be felt ever more present as the year 2004 takes its start. " We aren't leaving until we have what we came here for, the hearts of as many kids that our music can grab by continuously being honest and true to ourselves, our fans and our music. The band has all the elements needed to thrive and our fans know what's "real" and what not "real" music wise and our passion, honestly and integrity speaks for itself. That's why the kids frickin love us, and we love them."
