Artist description this site is a collection of the music by bud bennett and beth kelsey and the friends they have gathered around them. on this page is music from the band "i like pie", the band "trespassers will" and the solo and duet work of bud and beth........... "i like pie" is an eclectic collection of people from several of Southwest Virginia's area bands. Each member brought with them influences from a variety of musical styles including psychedelic, blues, country, rock and roll, artrock and bluegrass. Their collective musical talents enabled the band to musically create the images and emotion necessary to bring this concept album to life.............."trespassers will" was a long time bar band that played all around southwest virginia a few years ago. we recorded an album and it did pretty well. one song even got picked up by mtv to be on the tv show "the real world"...........the bud and beth solo and duet stuff is just that.

Artist History "i like pie" was created to record. After a year in the studio, they finished their self titled debut album and are having a great time planning and writing the next one. Due to the incestuous nature of Southwest Virginia bands, the members of "i like pie" had all played together in one incarnation or another and share a common respect and knowledge of the music on this album. They are amused with themselves and this comes through in their every performance.........."trespassers will" was created one day when bud and beth met mark and lynnie and decided they had the same musical goals and ideas. rules were needed. 1. have fun 2. no grateful dead covers (we loved the dead but didnt want to play them) 3. either all original music, or mess with covers until they/re unrecognizable. at some point along the road, lynnie left and laura blackley took her place. we did all the things we wanted to, AND had fun.
