Artist description
How would singer songwriter music influenced by rock music of the 80s and with grooves of the 90s sound like in the year 2000? Possibly like the songs of Christoph Herold. Having played in rock, blues, and jazz outfits since the end of the 1980s, and assisted by the emerging desktop recording equipment, singer/ songwriter Christoph Herold has been working on his very own vision of modern songwriting for a number of years now. The songs featured here are a selection of songs written for a variety of projects and contexts, sometimes recorded alone, sometimes with the help of fellow musicians and band members. The themes of the songs are mostly personal: there are love songs, songs that tell a story, songs about turning points in life. With vocals and guitars as the most prominent instruments, these songs prove that the concept of the contemporary and yet classic rocksong is far from obsolete. |
