Having played in rock, blues, and jazz outfits since the end of the 1980s, and assisted by the emerging desktop recording equipment, singer/ songwriter Christoph Herold has been working on his very own vision of modern songwriting for a number of years now. The songs featured here are a selection of songs written for a variety of projects and contexts, sometimes recorded alone, sometimes with the help of fellow musicians and band members. The themes of the songs are mostly personal: there are love songs, songs that tell a story, songs about turning points in life.
