Artist History
Tim Hervey and his brother Shawn, along with friend Bobby Dean, started the Bomb Pops in the mid-’90s. The group has released a self-titled CD of catchy punk-rock tunes on its own label, All American Alien Boy Recordings. Songs from that CD received radio airplay in many foreign countries, including Australia, England, Sweden and Scotland. Currently, the Bomb Pops are working on their sophomore disc, which they hope to release by fall. These Detroit-lovin’ punks have played all over, including Chicago, Milwaukee and CBGB’s in New York, but they do what they do best right here in Detroit. Some of the band-members’ favorite local spots are small, intimate venues like Lili’s and the Gold Dollar, although they’ve played just about everywhere, from the Magic Stick to the Magic Bag. |
