Artist History
Redirecting the negativity, so prevalent in hip hop music, Spiritual Lyric breathes life into a death saturated generation. Proclaiming the good news of Christ the Savior, Spiritual Lyric flips vocals that will make you think, chant, and get your praise on. As a background singer for the quartet “The Clark Special”, Spiritual Lyric has shared the stage with Gospel Greats such as Tommy Ellison & The 5 Singing Stars, Willie Neal Johnson & The Gospel Keynotes, Slim & The Supreme Angels and others. Raised on traditional Gospel And Hip Hop his transition from quartet to rapper was unusual yet natural. Both influences are evident as he combines melodic tracks, calculated samples, and quartet overtones to create a fresh new feel to the gospel hip hop arena. The (EP) release “Come On In” has gained him much love and notoriety locally and has drawn gospel traditionalists to the art of rhyme. “Come On In” features hits like “Material Things” a strictly street track with a message and “Jump Around” a high energy praise hopping track that encourages listeners to get their praise on for Jesus. Other tracks such as “My God Is Real”, featuring Pastor Larry E. Covington and “Spirituality”, featuring Patricia Hughes, will have you thirsting for more hip hop proclaiming the Gospel of Christ..“Come On In” is a wonderful testimony with hype beats and thought provoking rhymes. Spiritual Lyric’s live ministry has drawn new fans and supporters. He always has the audience participating by chanting the song’s hook, or dancing in the aisles to the rugged, but uplifting beats. His focus is on making the listeners get involved with the program. The object is to have fun lifting the name of Jesus.Spiritual Lyric has recently completed his full length CD which will be available in stores soon. |
