Artist History
Formed in 1992, Dimension is composed of three members, Akira Onozuka, Kazuki Katsuta, and Takashi Masuzaki. They have produced an impressive collection of 14 albums. Each member supported other bands and had a solo music career before joining the band. In August 1990, Masuzaki released a background music album on the Victor Rhythm Label, a solo guitar debut album titled "Speaks". His second album "Escape" was released in Ocotber, 1991. That same year in December he did a solo live recording at the Pit Inn in Roppongi, Tokyo. In April of 1992, he joined with the keyboardist Onozuka and sax player Katsuta to form the band Dimension. Kazuki Katsuta's professional activity began in 1988, providing tour support to another band. From 1990 to 1999 he supported the TUBE's live tours with around 200 stage appearances. He adds skillful musical arrangement and a powerful, emotional style to the band. Akira Onozuka started studio work when he was 18. From 1987 he toured with the TUBE's and later with the B'z and Zard and has provided piano and keybaord for various artits' recordings. Since joining Dimension he has applied his talents to songwriting and programming as well. Recently he has been touring overseas with the saxaphonist Sadao Watanabe. He is a popular keybaordist with a potent talent and appeal. |
