Artist description
Bodhisattva 2000 is a project in development. The works of Rob Wcislo have been documented on mp3 since its inception as a medium to share his musical vision with the public. We believe that the new medium for artists to interact with fans is through this fascinating arena called the Internet. We will be releasing Bodhisattva music via this portal and it will evolve and change shape over time. So please return often to see how Bodhisattva 2000 has evolved, twisted and changed shape. Not only is this a public venue, it is a mutual palate for other artists to get involved in developing the latest "album" underway by Bodhisattva. As a singer-songwriter, Rob claims responsibility for raising the melodies, chords, groove, lyrics and arrangements but music @ its best is of course dense with the simultaneous and varied interpretations of the song via different instruments. Thanks to the affordable and quality resources avaiable now in a PC based studio, we can develop this demo in step with our fans. We are seeking talented studio players that are interested in contributing their talent to this work. Please listen to the demo and contact us if you are interested in laying down parts. We hope this evolutionary, communal process will make for a fulfilling and interesting result. We need your feedback. Please get in touch... |

Artist History
Rob Wcislo has been writing songs in New Jersey for over 10 years. Initially on the scene in his Rutgers college town of New Brunswick, NJ with the band Flowers Yig, his reputation as a shaman and poet have become an underground legend in the Northeast. After a migration from his college scene to the Jersey Shore, Rob lived a bohemian life-style along the coast of Sea Bright. During this time, Rob collaborated heavily with close friend and guitarist, Bo Shupin. Together they put together their first CD entitled Bodhisattva under the band name Swim. Throughout the mid-nineties, they toured the Northeastern US, packing clubs, stirring a legendary beatnik current that lingers today in New York City, Hoboken and the Jersey shoreline. In 1998, Rob Wcislo released the solo EP entitled Underwater. Songs from that CD, such as Deep in the Belly and Overdone have received college radio airplay throughout the US & Europe and he has begun performing as Bodhisattva.Bodhisattva is in development of his 3rd release. While the ideas and songs develop in our local and home studios the songs will be going on display through this site. Eventually we will released and distributed the final result through MP3. We encourage talented performers in the New York/NJ area who feel inspired by this project to get in touch with us with regard to contributing.Who knows what's next...? |
