Artist History
Wireneck is a four piece group from Statesboro,Georgia. The members Chris Rushing (guitar),Brian Prevatt(drums), Will Rushing (bass), and Jeff Rushing (vocals). They started playing together around 1998, and realized they had potential for creating great music. In February of 1999,they recorded their First EP.."ABC`s and 123`s" in Columbia SC. It was released one month later, and with determination and support from family and friends, the EP recieved great sales and started a strong buzz in statesboro and surrounding areas. Many of their new found fans were now inquiring about an entire album. The songs they had,the money they didnt. Working and playing gigs became a priority, in order to raise money. In August of 1999, they were back in the studio, but after 2 days of recording in Charleston S.C., hurricane floyd decided to make a presence and threatened to hit the SC coast delaying the completion of the recording. Due to other commitments, November was the earliest they could finish the process,During November, the buzz about the cd grew and they were SIGNED by LOCAL PROMOTER/DISTRIBUTOR,and now MANAGER.In January of 2000, the new "Self titled" WIRENECK cd hit stores. IT has been descrived as having an "Alternative EMo METAL" Sound. Sales have taken off locally, which has fueld Wireneck`s desire to take their music world wide. |
