Artist description
Vir Unis' passion is experimental sound sculpting and mixing electronic and acoustic grooves. The multi-instrumentalist easily shifts between beatless innerspace, ambient groove, and atmospheric pulse music. His first release, "Imaginarium", a collaboration with Ma Ja Le, hit #2 for radio play in Airwaves Top 50 in June 1992 and his first collaboration with Steve Roach, "Body Electric", remained at #2 for eight weeks. Vir Unis' first two solo releases, "The Drift Inside" and "Aeonian Glow", showcased his love for beatless, reflective innerspace music. However, his third solo disc, "Pulse-n-Atmo", switched gears with driving pulse beats and electronic grooves. May 2001 is planned for the release of Steve Roach and Vir Unis' second collaborative effort, "Blood Machine". Future projects include a collaboration with Saul Stokes, an album of live ambient groove playing drums, and a fourth solo release.
