Superhalo began as a 'collision of styles, influences andtalents', lead vocalist Wolfgang Webb once said. Theresult of this 'collision' thus far has been anything butdisastrous. The merging of these individuals hascreated a collection of songs described as, "Culturaldeconstructions stumbling numb, in a post nuclear showwhere sex, religion and advertising are all sacred iconsof equal and interchangeable value." (Toronto Star)The band simply calls it Rocket Pop.By night Superhalo plays throughout Canada includingshows this past year with Stereophonics, Love and Rockets, Lo-FidelityAll-Stars, Gravity Kills, Hate Dept.,Econoline Crush, Pitchshifter, The Tea Party,Artificial Joy Club, Rustyand headlining performances of their own."..Combining all the best of Industrial, Techno andElectronic music with song writing passion.."(Rhig Magazine-Toronto)In late 1997 Superhalo released their debut selfrecorded/self produced album 'the cost of breathing'which received substantial support from local audiencesas well as from Toronto's leading alt-rock radio stationCFNY (who chose Superhalo to feature on the CFNYNew music CD as well as to perform at Edgefest). |
