Slyde is a Slyde is a high-energy rock band based out of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. The band formed in March of 1999. The concept came from the minds of the initial three members: Mark Busson, Mike Hatheway, and Jody Vincent when they became tired of the same type of bands playing "Modern/Alternative Rock" around the local circuit. Eventually, the band enlisted Tina Gaudreau on lead vocals and began writing original music as well as playing live shows.
Slyde has opened for premiere Canadian bands, such as "See Spot Run", "Chixdiggit", "Crush" and "Since August". The band has been involved with several charity events and outdoor festivals and has played over 45 shows in Nightclubs.
Slyde's original song "Nothing" was a finalist in the New Brunswick Songwriting Competition for the year 2000. The same song reached number 7 on the MP3.COM groove charts in May of 2001. At the present time Slyde is promoting their debut album entitled "Scream". as well as playing live shows.Slyde has been featured in articles in the Telegraph Journal and the Northside News. The band has been involved with several charity events and outdoor festivals (including a televised appearance on Canada Day 2000) and has played over 25 shows in Nightclubs.Slyde's original song "Nothing" was a finalist in the New Brunswick Songwriting Competition for the year 2000. At the present time Slyde is working on original material for an upcoming CD entitled "Poets and Astronauts". |

Slyde was formed in March 1999, and went through a line-up change in late October 1999 when Tina Gaudreau (Vocals) joined the band. Later, Slyde added Jon Price on rhythm guitar. |
