Artist History 2000 Quickdraw performs Long Island’s first live country multimedia event at Vanderbildt Planetarium with a sky/ laser show. 1999 ASCAP sponsors Quickdraw industry showcase in Nashville, TN. 1999 Group performs at Westbury Music Fair with Kathy Mattea and Steve Wariner. 1999 New York Newsday calls Quickdraw, “ New Yorks’ Kings of Country” and is their featured “Hot Band”. 1999 Quickdraw takes part in country musics “Fan Fair” in Nashville, TN. 1999 Songwriters Kevin Hawkins and Steve Ronsen perform at Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival in Nashville. 1999 Quickdraw headlines at the Bald Hill Arena in Holtsville, NY. 1999 Y107FM selects Quickdraw to perform at the New Jersey Balloon Festival. 1999 Quickdraw performs at famed Nashville clubs, Gibson Guitar Café, Tootsies, Broken Spoke, 3rd& Lindsley, LaFiesta and The Castle Door 1998 ABC’s Good Morning America and New York’s Eyewitness News features Quickdraw in a live performance. 1998 Winner Best Country Act- Long Island Music Awards. 1998 Winner Best Country Act- L.I. Voice Readers Poll. 1998 Winner Music Excellence Award for Outstanding Americana/Country Act- Musicians Exchange Magazine. 1998 Winner Denim and Diamonds Playoff Talent Showcase in New York City. 1998 New York Newsday calls Quickdraw, “The Islands best contemporary country band”. 1998 Quickdraw performs in front of 16,000 country music fans, opening for Suzy Boggus at Long Island’s Eisenhower Park, sponsored by WMJC-FM. 1998 Quickdraw opens for Asleep at the Wheel in New York City. 1998 Quickdraw performs at The Nashville Palace, Gibson Guitar Café and The Castle Door in Nashville, TN. 1997 Their Sam Goody Records in store appearance in The Roosevelt Field Mall sells more cds in one day than any other artist performance at that store, which results in several return performances, including stores in Richmond, VA. and Massapequa, NY. 1997 Billboard Magazine features Quickdraw in the Retail Track column, as a result of their sales and performances at Sam Goody Record Stores. 1997 Quickdraw performs with The Marshall Tucker Band and Delbert McClinton at Westbury Music Fair. 1997 Quickdraw headlines radio station Y107’s Halloween Bash on the U.S.S. Intrepid in NYC with The Kinleys 1997 Debut album, named top Ten Cd of the Year by the L.I. Voice country music critic. 1997 Group takes part in the Route 1 South Music Convention in Richmond, VA. and in the North by Northwest Music Convention in Toronto, Canada. 1996 Winner - Good Times Magazines, Long Island Music Festival. 1996 Quickdraw headlines “World’s Largest Block Party”, closing down Madison Ave. NYC for 20 blocks. Quickdraw has also opened shows for Stephanie Bentley, Victoria Shaw, and Kimber Clayton. Quickdraw has caught the attention of radio stations WMJC-FM, Y107-FM, WRCN-FM, WLIR-FM, WKCR-FM, WFDU-FM, WRIV-AM to name a few and are included on many national & international websites.Richard Bach, co-writer of John Berry's number one hit "She's Taken a Shine," is writing with Quickdraw's songwriting team of Steve Ronsen and Kevin Hawkins as well as producing with the band.
