Artist description
Kyle Quass was born and raised in the Midwest. After matriculating at Indiana University he pursued the traditional career path and spent several years in the NYC area. At this point in time he chooses to be based out of the Midwest. He has studied with Joe Henderson, Greg Osby, Mulgrew Miller, Randy Brecker, David Baker, Edmund Cord and Allan Dean. Also, he has performed with Joe Henderson, Greg Osby, Dave Holland, John Hicks, Lonnie Plaxico, Charlie Persip, and numerous others. His first CD as a leader entitled Streams of Consciousness will be released later this year by Rumi records. In addition he can be found as a sideman on numerous other CDs, including previous Rumi releases by Gyrogenics and Guest House. |
