Artist description
The music of TenForward is inspired by progress. The band strives to convey a sense of temporal, thematic, and sonic momentum in its music. Lyrically, the band is inspired by a wide range of what it believes to be crucial and kinesthetic issues and topics. Political apathy, racism, deterministic metaphysical theory, the objectification of women, and irresponsible impregnation is an eclectic list of the wide range of concepts addressed in TenForward's music. Rhythmically, the band finds it interesting to synthesize multiple time signatures or alternate them over musical phrases, keeping the music well-textured, but fluid. Melodically and harmonically, the music varies a great deal, sometimes euphonic, sometimes straddling the line between order and dischord. |
