Artist description
No one can be blamed for your curious mind has guided you into these cultural labyrinth. Right in this wilds there are not visible ways. The Danube, the Dnieper, the Don fuse into the one turbid stream, though there are no maps tofix the place. This constantly seething water flowcarries away snatches of spring songs, meltedwater, shed hair of wolves and whistling ofbrigands. The old inhabitants tell that one Britain traveller lost his way here, was roaming around the forest and came out to the village where the dwellers were celebrating the Ivanov Day. They invited him to feast, and when the dawn hadcome the traveller bid farewell and had been ready to go further, but at the right moment all the inhabitants suddenly changed into the crows and scattered with loud croaking. Having felt he was a very old man, the Britain traveller realised all his life had passed away within the night of unrestrained gaiety and dancing. No one knows his exact name. And yet they say that long time ago here prince Svyatoslav was killed. The villains made a kind of bowl for ritual libation of his skull. Their grandees drank out of it. So and you, as real grandees of your loneliness are at hand to try the contents of our skulls. |

Press Reviews
The creative ideology and the sound attitude of FIGURA have two constituents. These are hyperfolk and syncretism. Hyperfolk is a sound mythology and folk ritual re-interpreted which was rendered by the means of direct synthesis. It means that all the affecting and tremendous magnificence of myth. Fully is able to come into your life through the soundwave. It is also possible that any stable cyclical myth proceed performing in the contemporary world of people which shatters them or raised them as heros. Machines, neon and all these hi-tech futuristic things are nothing more than new scene of these permanently alive performance.
Our syncretism is an inorganic compound live performing, expression and natural trance together with a mechanics of rythmical constructions. Generally, syncretism refers to human creative-work and the early stages of development. It is an archaic and childish consciousness
Syncretism is free from style. All the terms and notions are small stained glasses and tiny balls in a child's hands who scatters them in the image of ornament.
