Artist History
The first demos that exist are from the Summer of 2000, but the band really took shape in late August, when work began on the first album, "The 33 Tape". The album was recorded in 33 days (hence the name) and was released in mid October. The Troupe reentered the studio in November to begin work on the follow-up album. Greuling sessions held occasionally throughout the winter yielded a follow-up in March. "b.c. Bistro" broke new ground in the Troupe's electronic side, with sophicasted arrangements and vocal parts. However, it was live the acoustic song, "Snood Crazy" that was released as the first single, and rapidly diffused through the Internet. The album also featured the political attack "Represent" and the #1 Albany area hit, "Sept les Neufs". Summer 2001 found the recently released "Transit". |
