Press Reviews
Far from any coastal or any real industrial music scene, Serious Wilson is thus far an embodiment of rock and blues brilliance. The creative soul of Serious Wilson relies on personal experience and raw emotional music. Their melancholy rock is a little less likable than pop rock but a great deal more melodic than the underground, because they are entirely complete to no real genre. Their influences are more than mere inspirations, but a closet of sounds to take from. Wilson's artistic and musical character stems from the acid rock faculty of The Doors and Pink Floyd, to alternative staples of Smashing Pumpkins and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. And despite the outside influences, Serious Wilson very much dedicates themselves to the harmonic guitar-and-drum rock with a remarkable knack for song writing and musicianship, elements often lost on many new artists. But that quality may also alienate them from today's pop standards and prevents Serious Wilson from being too accessible to the hip, however they are still very interesting to the cool.
