Artist History
This great panamenian band was formed in 1995 from the ashes of a band called Desorden Politico(political Desorder) they played political hardcore in their beginning. Most of the original members are in other bands now. The musical evolution of punk affected Factor VIII Their music was getting complex and fast. By 1997 they put 2 songs on c.d. compilation called "Tainaker 2" by Kiwi Records, these songs were "Señoras y Señores"(Laydies and Gentlemen)* and "Avestruces"(Ostriches), *The first one of these also apeared on a japanese compilation of panamenian bands called "Panama Conection" 1998. At the beginning of these year(1998) they recorded a ska-punk called "Mijita"(Li'l Girl) (their only song in these genere) which reached the top charts of national music reviews. At the beginning of 1999 they recorded a 3 song demo wich put the band forward getting a contract for a recording in Mexico City with the label MEISA. at the end of the year they strat the recording phase of these c.d. that will be called "...y todo sigue igual"(...and everithing stays the same way). This produccion was ready by august 2000 and their first hit single in Panama is "Solo por ser normal"(Only for being normal)they are now in the making of the video of this grat song.They also apeared on a compilation by T&NRecrdsPanama called "My name is Punk 2" with the song "Un simple dia en la rutina de mi vida"(a simple day in the rutine of my life).They have played with international bands like "Molotov", "2 Minutos", "Plastilina Mosh" and many panamanian band like Los Rabanes. |
