Artist description synthdog was a multi-part project that started as experimental with the software by Sonic Foundry, ACID. This software has, in some circles, revolutionized music. synthdog extended into experiments in remixing other artists' music, remixing some of my own ancient creations, and just re-mastering some of my old favorites.

Artist History I have been writing music since I was 17 years old. I got my first Casio HT-700 and the rest is cheesy pop history. I have worked with a few talented musicians in the past... I have never before used this alias as a "band name". 'Synthdog' was originally a handle from an online chat system. Anyone remember those? The name is derived from 'synth' because I was interested in synthesizers and 'dog' is 'GOD' backwards... Not that I'm a GOD of SYNTH or anything like that... Let's just say that I really enjoy writing music. I am self taught and I've been through various "styles" such as pop, alternative, new wave, industrial, classical, and a lot of experimental music. I've even written some rap tracks! I play keyboards and a little guitar. I have used all kinds of synth equipment... EPS samplers, E-MU samplers, Moog synths, Sequential Circuits synths, Oberheim synths... edited patches, samples, etc... used hardware and software sequencers... MIDI is like a second language (in, out, thru)... I have owned a Korg M1 and Poly800, an Alesis D4, a Boss DR-550... Overall... I believe music cleanses my soul and if you know me, my soul needs plenty of cleansing.
