STIFLER died... but we have re-formed as WATER BEATS FIRE. Click on the main image to go to our website.
Stifler is a four-piece punk band coming straight out of Greely, Ontario. Anyone who has had the PLEASURE of being to Greely knows that there isnt much to do there, so these boys avoided boredom by playing music. What started out as just a hobby quickly turned into a passion for each of the members and, since 1998, Stifler has been churning out fast-paced, emotionally-driven punk rock with some slight changes to the band over the years.
Stifler, once called frontline, started out with Rob, Ryan, Greg and Eddy. After Greg was unable to play in the band anymore, he was replaced with Eddys brother Bill, who went on to be lead vocals in the band (since Eddy couldnt really sing, but no one would tell him).
Years past, and the band grew in talent and experience, but it was time for Ryan to get married. So he left. At this time, Stifler recorded a 7 song demo at Saban Studios, and placed all the songs on mp3.com. Ryan was then replace by the insatiable Marc Melki in summer 2001.
Marcs influence on the songwriting in the band was felt right away, and Stifler grew in new and better ways.
They have recently recorded another four song EP (a sign of things to come), over the summer of 2002, and are still writing NEW and better songs. Stifler has played with some wicked ass bands like Subb (Montreal), Five days off (belgium), Gas Drummers (spain), as well as local Ottawa bands such as Uninspired Empire, District Seven, and First and Foremost.
The sound that comes from these four minds meets in a style that is hard to describe, listen for yourself and enjoy biznatch!
