Press Reviews Snuffmovies are amateur productions, in which one or all of the actors are killed in front of the camera, or suffer other kinds of real violence. These movies have come into fashion somehow, specially in the last decade, and they are secretly purchased for big amounts of money. Our snuffmovies have never snuffed anyone at all, and we do not beat people around (at least, not in front of the camera). However, we do have a special concern in seeking roughness and violence inside art, as well as searching for the roots of human desires, for sex, self-punishment, and pain, for these are the demons we hide under our angel-like fronts. For doing this, every form of expression may be useful, by means of images, sounds or words. Everything can help in this research, sometimes softly, sometimes bitter. Music was a consequence of video-making, for always lacking the perfect soundtrack for some special scene, with the proper atmosphere, beat, and timing. Next, soundtracks were not just a subsidiary subject, but a fundamental form of expression, counting on modern music softwares, such as synthetizers, sequencers, and drums. Besides, a few friends gave some help with their voices and/or intruments. Working with music has now achieved some results. The first demo, "So famous people we don´t even have to mention their names" was the most listened in the category eletronics/Latin America at MP3.com, during 5 months. Three of the songs accomplished the biggest number of downloads at Napster in 2001, in the same category. It was also the most listened cd of electronics at showz.com.br. Moreover, the band was in a electronics compilation, distributed by Mp3 Magazine (Brazil) also in 2001, and composed the soundtrack for "Derrelição", a play based on a novel by Hilda Hilst.
