Artist History
Scared Of Girls was founded in 2000, out of Norwegian singer/guitarist Toggos vision to create a band that crosses alternative rock with undeniable power pop-hooks, all wrapped in a unique, outrageous image.
The first one to answer the call was Swiss drummer Antoine Gautier. With the addition of Antoines song-driven and intense drumbeats, the freshly formed duo wasted no time while looking for a bassist to complete the band, immersing themselves in Los Angeles acoustic scene, playing a stripped down unplugged version of their music.
Their high energy and very untraditional live shows soon caught the attention of one of Hollywoods most popular Acoustic Clubs, The Crooked Bar, leading to a 3 month Thursday night Residency as a quiet contrast to the sonic attack of their plugged-in concerts.
The most recent addition to the bands lineup is Louisiana bassist Mark Drews. Gluing the guitars and drums together with his ultra tight bass lines and adding his over the top energy to the bands already no holds barred live shows, Scared Of Girls is truly a band that needs to be experienced live to be fully appreciated.
The commercial viability of the trios songs was recently recognized nationally, as MTV signed the band to an agreement that will feature their music in fall episodes of MTV Undressed.
With overwhelming amounts of enthusiasm and feel good energy, cartoon hero looks, high level musicianship, a unique sound, and hooks that you just cant get out of your head, Scared Of Girls make no apologies about their goal; to be the one band that finally gives rockn roll its much needed upgrade for the 21st century.

Live Magazine: Brilliant, infectious, uplifting, catchy and magnetic, with a lead singer that just screams rock star..................................................................
Listen.com: With a singer that sounds like a happier Raine Maida of Our Lady Peace, Scared of Girls create poppy Alt Dance that runneth over with enthusiasm and good vibes. The songs are expertly crafted, combining dirty guitars, electronic beats and vocal harmonies.
