Artist History
Sayed transitioned from the downtown streets to the stage in a variety of bands that played local venues. She both sang and wrote much of her early work in the styles of reggae, jazz, blues, raga, punk and hard rock. This mish mash of styles influenced her recent work encompassing a roller-coaster of throaty guttural sounds and blissful melodies. Sayed has performed in major venues in Los Angeles for the last six years, including The Strand, the Viper Room, Roxbury, and the Trubador. |
