Artist History kid red has performed across the gulf coast from Houston to Miami.He started playing the guitar in the late '60's and played lead acoustic and electric guitars and dobro in the seminal New Orleans progressive country band, Swampdust.Having been influenced by early Rolling Stones blues covers, he began to front his own band in 1981.After a hiatus from music from 1983-1992, he hit the stages of Houston delighting crowds with his gritty vocal stylings and sizzling, but eclectic guitar work.Now based on the edge of the French Quarter in New Orleans, kid red is soaking up funk and groove as fast as he can.A new CD is planned for the next year.
