    Artist description
To all the bands that need a tutor in Rocking 101, take note. There is a new blend of Stomp Rock on the scene! It's heated, it's grinding, it's madder than a bitch in heat, It is - Friction Machine. Hailing from Chuck Vegas (otherwise known as Charleston, Illinois, pre-Friction Machine) this band looks to insert there blend of West Coast Groove and Motor City Soul onto every turntable in America. This 4-piece concoction leaves nothing to the imagination. This musical venture is more raw than a scabless wound, sweatier than a roofer's ass, and constantly baring it all. Drawing their influence from the likes of Soundgarden, Monster Magnet, Tool and Fu Manchu, Friction Machine takes from its predecessors and fuses all of the elements into one golden stomp rock platter, that will leave any listener licking his plate. Friction Machine features Mr. Mike Stranglehold on vocals. Mike has a deep voice that screams Joe Cocker and a mop that whines De La Rocha. Stranglehold has a tendency to make anyone ponder his/her social conformation. On guitar, straight from the acid womb and straight to the Flying V, is PC (pronounced Pee-See). PC is the song-writing generator of Friction Machine. Several words come to mind when thinking of PC; wah, thick, riff rock, chemical imbalance, etc. Joe Sanner provides all necessary low frequencies for this band, using Jedi Knight tactics and unorthodox technique on his P-bass to interweave his silky smooth grooves amongst the other instruments. Last but not least, Cap'n Popetastic. The Cap'n provides Friction Machine with super-hero style rhythm and pig skin pounding when he isn't choreographing Sanner's onstage antics. Together, they form one of the greatest stomp rock stampedes to tear out of the Chuck Vegas city limits. Their last stampede took them to Jett Studios where they cut their first demo with singer Mike Stranglehold. The demo screams bloody murder right from the first meaty riff on the ep. The ep features three tracks, "Save Me", "Money for Rock", and "Is this Torture…?" This demo sets the record straight amongst avid music fans throughout the region. Friction Machine will put themselves on the map as a band that can contend with any other. WIth a large quantity of live shows under their belt, FM has taken their shows to a whole new level. They have more energy and spunk than a sex craved 70 year-old on a double-dose of Viagra. Make no mistake, there is no fucking around when the Machine rolls into town, It is there for one purpose, and one purpose only- To tattoo ROCK on the forehead of everyone and anyone who comes before them.
