    Artist History
Four score and a few jingle jangle mornings ago, before AOL and other offenses against mankind, Steve Stanley and Ruby Rubens met through a mutual friend at the famed Hollywood nightclub, The Crush Bar. They immediately knew they had a musical chemistry and decided to form Single Bullet Theory. The search for a drummer began and the two were actually demented enough to buy a soda jerk at Mel's Diner a drumset simply because he looked like he had rhythm. He didn't. Undaunted, Stanley and Rubens went on and the 3 piece (featuring German drummer Joachim Kuipers) waded through a series of amusing gigs at the tail end of The Hair Metal Era before stumbling upon other like minded bands and musicians. Following various assassination attemps from a member of the 80's multi-platinum act of the same name, the two went into hiding to conceive and form THE NOW PEOPLE.
