Artist History
Saturday's Child. The name itself brings to mind images of fun, youth, worldliness, and style. All of these fit this San Diego rock band to a capital T. With influences ranging from hard rock (Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac) to metal (Fear Factory, Megadeth, Metallica) to 90's alternative (Nirvana, Green Day), Saturday's Child has spent the better part of the last 5 years defining their sound, their vision, and their future.
The latest, 3-piece line-up is perhaps the boldest and most brilliant for Saturday's Child to date. Vocalist/Guitarist/Frontman Jason sings hard, plays hard, and is hard to match in energy and vocal ability. James, Bassist/Vocalist/Funnyman for Saturday's Child, provides the low end and the low down, a striking counterpart to his brother Jason. Bring together those elements and meld them with Percussionist Nick's innovative and explosive drumming, and you have the embodiment of the best thing to happen to rock since Bruce went solo.
You have Saturday's Child.
They can be heard on their 2001 Disc "Sonogram" and can be seen all over Southern California. Catch Saturday's Child at venues like: Belly Up, Dream Street, Canes, Brick by Brick, Jolt'n Joe's, The Playhouse, Pounders, and more.
