Artist History Established 1997 Started with a guitarist / small time studio musician who got turned on to dance music while in college. Trying to create the same climatic event with digitally composed Dance tunes as I have done in heart-felt guitar solos proved to be a challenge. But "trance" was found to be that medium. Much experimentation and review was required before this music would be presented in this format - or any other. Now the name has changed from roby777 into Binary Time Lapse, which best describes exactly what the effect of this music, and others like it creates. Time Lapse - a loss of time. Download these tunes, burn them to a ROM ( better yet, just by the DAM CD ) and then take a 2 hour road trip. See if you can experience what we call . . .A BiNaRy TiMe LaPsE ;->Labels - where do I begin. Some have come, but they all have gone. I have ZERO interest in exclusively signing away my music to a label that wants to lock it down inside some small studio and control its distribution. If you are one of those, please don't even contact me. Big label? Call collect. But as far as I am concerned, this music is free. I want to share it with the world! Still, some activity continues with one label. I am considering signing a very flexible deal that would allow me to make a very few $$$ but still keep all of this music available on mp3.com and elsewhere.

Press Reviews Great ambient techno; Light and airy. Makes me want to close my eyes and drift off with the music. It doesnt have the hard driving sound of many of the tracks from Oscillator, but that's ok. It's better suited for a chill out room at a rave, or an early morning 3 am set. The jazzy keyboard sound in Carpet Ride is a nice realxing sound for coming down from hard dancing. These songs are really good, deftly avoiding the pitfalls that ensnare most aspiring producers - repetition and derivative work. The music is unique and changing, evolving.I'd schedule this set (hopefully starting with Transcedocide and leading into Carpet Ride) around 2 or 3 am and give it 4 out of 5 stars.DJ Seeker (TX)
