    Press Reviews
RESTLESS SOULS pump their jams out with hard rock abandon, blending blues and metal with heavy guitars and kickin' rhythms. They go over the top with strong showings on all parts, keystones being Paige Woron's vocal and guitar deliveries, a blend of Nancy Wilson and Chrissy Hines, and the guitars of Fuzzy Hatten. The ultimate endurance of the band is evident in the foundation laid down by Rick Friend on drums and Tim Saxon's bass playing, every song they have put out is ROCK solid. Review in Underground sound webzine 6/09/97 This demo tape opens up with "Midnight Train", a straight-forward, hard rocker that hits you over the head from the beginning! This is, quite possibly, the strongest song of the 7 tracks. The sound of Gibson Les Pauls carry this tune, along with Paige Woron's vocals. "Midnight Train" is a well written tune with a very catchy chorus and guitar line. This is the kind of material where Restless Souls is at their best. Another example of this is "Come On Home". Fueled by rhythm guitars that are "in your face", this tune and "I Forgive No One" have tons of attitude. "Come On Home" stuck in my head all day. I don't want to "label" this band as sounding like anyone else because they should have their own identity. BUT, this song is reminiscent of Heart's heavier stuff. Combine that with a guitar sound that is similar to Fastway and you can get the idea. By John Emmert, writer for BANDS ON THE RUN--UNSIGNED BANDS UNCOVERED.
