Artist description Fourteen year old singer/songwriter MEDINA , daughter of successful hit-making, music producer Keg Johnson, Jr. and singer Cheryl Terry of Debbie Reynolds and Helen Reddy fame, has created her own musical plans for following in her parents' footsteps. She may be headed for R&B, hip-hop fame - but with true, cross-over, pop-fame potential - she's grown and developed her sound from powerfully beautiful roots in jazz and gospel. Medina not only sings lead on all the cuts of her debut CD, but does all of the background vocals as well. On two of the songs, "Hip Hop Jazz" and "What about all the Love," the horn samples are taken from recordings by Great Uncle Budd Johnson on the sax, inductee of the Jazz Hall of Fame and Grandfather Keg Johnson, Sr. on the trombone, who played with Cab Calloway for 17 years. As if that weren't enough, cousin PRODIGY of Mobb Deep NYC fame has plans of writing and producing music for MEDINA.. In just a month's time, Medina, Gadget and Keg have produced some hit making tunes we're all gonna be listening to - with a smile on our face, rhythm in our shoulders and tapping of our feet.
