Artist description
Gemini is a band with Northern California and Southern California influences. The lead singer / saxophone player was influenced by the blues and R&B scene in San Francisco. The keyboardist grew up in L.A and was into bands like Yes, Emerson Lake and Palmer, and The Crusaders. The combination of these flavors makes for a very diverse and appealing blend of music. The music is filled with rich harmonies, nice arrangements, clean production, and inspired lyrics. |

Artist History
Kevin Frazier and Rick Dellefield formed this duo in the late 80's. They started as an alternative to top 40, by having a very diverse repetoire. They were booked 6 months in advance by playing more obscure popular songs. By artists like, Steely Dan, Jarreau, Sanborn, Crusaders, Average white Band, Benson, Bill Withers, and plenty of others. The sound they developed was put on CD in 1990 to capture the essence of all these musical influences. Since this all original CD Kevin and Rick have both been married, had kids and diversified, but are now collaborating on a new album. Thanks to digital technology, they can share ideas online between the San Francisco Bay Area and LA. Look for a new CD by Gemini in the new millenium. |
