Press Reviews
"Is there such a thing as 'retro-techno'? I think Rotator may be
inventing/perfecting it. Two grown boys and a lot of toys make up this duo
who are hitting San Diego and the world (73,000 + hits on MP3) with a pulse
pounding electronic sound that maintains a pop-sensibility that keeps them
very radio friendly. Samplers, synths, drum machines, croaking frogs, and
60's style guitar loops combine with live vocals processed to perfection.
The duo give off an energy in their live performance that is infectious and
takes them beyond the average digitized show."
-The Smell Of Dead Fish Magazine May 2002........."Rotator, an electronic outfit that does more than simply spin records and press machine buttons to create songs. The duo mixes self-written music with samples, and keyboard. On stage, they add live vocals. They jump up and down, too. Rotator is like San Diego's answer to the Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim." -NINA GARIN-San Diego Union Tribune March 1, 2001
