JASPER is an exciting hard rock trio from the Dallas area. Formed in 2000, JASPER is comprised of the brother-in-law songwriting duo of Nicky Rushing (vocals/guitar) and Jared Sherman (bass), along with longtime friend Hank Johnson (drums). Embedded within JASPER's songs are some undeniably intense, heartfelt and hopeful lyrics, while their diverse-but-distinctive brand of rock never disappoints. |

Artist History
Jasper is dedicated to changing the face of the Dallas local music scene and hopefully someday, the ever-elusive national music scene. To do this, they have implemented their love of heavy music to compliment their keen melodic sensibility, resulting in songs that are at once accessible and in-your-face. Jasper's music radiates intensity, which applies especially to their live show. If you have not seen Jasper play live, you are simply missing out. Notable accomplishments to date include, a current spot on 97.1 The Eagles Local Show for their song VENT, as well as being named a finalist for the nation-wide "Ultimate Talent Search 2000," sponsored by Embassy Records, JASPER has also performed with numerous local as well as national bands such as Seven Channels, Frolic, Uncle Silas, Roswell, Petra, Primal Groove, Modern Day John, and many more.

Press Reviews
"I Wish I Wrote This Song"
This song is full of emotion backed with strong lyrics, a strong rhythm, and good guitars. I enjoyed this song and it struck my senses with its changing tempos, emotional cries, and very strong chorus. I highly recommend this song.
