Artist History Goblin was born in the summerof '97. When I (Sam Biles) andmy good friend, and verytalented guitarist Gary Zywickistarted getting together andworking on songs for apossible "pretend live"album/demo for fun. My otherband "Hideous Mangleus"hadrecently finished up our firstfull length CD in our, at thattime, 8 yr. history in theunderground. It was time for abreak. (Which will soon besilenced, but that is anotherstory. Info atwww.repulserecords.com ). Sothe opportunity was there, andwe took it. After abandoningour "pretend live" cover songidea, hehe, because ouroriginals were sounding verypromising. We kinda just wrotea bunch of parts. And slowlybut surely started piecingtogether songs. We didn'treally have any"project"/demo/CD in mind. Wejust wrote for the love ofwriting. FOR THE LOVE OFMETAL!!! Although, our musicisn't exactly "Metal". Our heartis every bit as metal as Accept'sever was. We've takin' ourchildhood/adult passion forheavy music (Sabbath, Priest,Maiden, Frost, Stench, etc, etc)and decided to try our hand atwriting the best "Metal" wecan. Our sound may be a bit"abrasive" to "the Metalpurist" due to our low tuning,and "Yeti with his nuts in a beartrap" vokills. But, O'well, this isan Underground band, whatcan we say. We've taken theheaviness of songs of Old, like"God of Thunder." Andcombined it with the unbridledfury of underground music(DeathMetal, Grind, Grust,Doom, etc) like so many othersbefore us. But, we assure youthis is not just anotherUnderGround band. "Killing isour Business...and Business isGood." We are here to make theheaviest shit you've ever heard!That is our commitment to youthe UG fan!!! The demo is out,that is the first step in what wehope will be a long respected"career" in the Underground.We plan on being around forawhile...
