Artist History This story is two fold.It all began many years ago when Frank(guitar) and James(bass) met in highschool and started several bands some of which were mildly sucessful. Things took a drastic turn one fateful afternoon at a local bar (Chateau Lafayete)in the bathroom where frank was taking a leak. Some weird guy(Robbie, who still sings with them on occasion) started talking to him and told him he looked like Frank Zappa. Frank said that he loved zappa's music and played guitar himself. The guy said that he was also a guitar player and that they should check out an open stage at a local bar called "Whipping Post". Frank and James started going every week to the open stage and began to impress the owner of "the post" as it is known. Lance Matthews the posts owner/bartender/sound guy gave the boys a chance to host their own open jam on Tuesdays starting in the summer of 1998. At about this time two other musicians were looking for a place to play and a mutual friend introduced them to a wednesday jam at the post hosted by Horace Hogan. Adam(guitar) and Chris(Drums) began showing up every week and soon were members of the house band along with George(guitar) and Tom(keyboards). Months passed without the two groups crossing paths. Eventually Lance convinced them to check out the Frank James clubhouse jam. They were envited up to play on stage together and history was made. Soon Frank James was a quartet and the wednesday jam was disbanded. In the winter of 1999 the group changed to their current thursday night slot and the crowds began to grow. In the spring of 2000 they aquired a cute little sax player and a gorgeous sound boy, as well a group of lesbian swedish roadies and guitar techs... They are currently in the midst of recording their first CD and hope to be done really friggin soon!
