Artist description
The Fiction Machine is a project out of Michigan. The music is a kind of glam-meets-goth-meets-industrial via new wave sound. The stage presence is most definitely glam, but not in the scabby Marilyn Manson sense. Lead singer Keyth Corvis twists perceptions as best he can without scaring the straights, and the decadence of the live work can only be explained by the band's theatrical roots. If you like some beautiful in your goth, or some androgyny in your industrial, or if you just like boys in skirts and your music on the odd side, then The Fiction Machine will be just your cup of hemlock. |

Artist History
The Fiction Machine is a spin-off project from another band: Boi Creature Diversion. Musical and theatrical roots going back 20 years forced Boi Creature to emerge from solitude and make himself heard. After years of performing in several Saginaw bands, dealing with group politics, and jumping into and out of theatre, Keyth Hallowen found a voice in solo work. Boi Creature came later, and soon the first band- Cemetery Children- was born. As sounds changed and moments passed, the band changed roster and direction. Cemetery Children departed from a pure goth sound and gave way to Boi Creature Diversion. The band has been primarily instrumental (providing vocals only in live performances), and in studio work preferring to stick to straight music with no vocals. Unfortunately, former member Boi Creature died, leaving Hallowen and company in search of a new voice. They found it in Keyth Corvis. Vocals will be present sometime soon. As for the present, the band is repairing itself after Boi Creature’s death, and trying to get together a CD before the end of 2002. |
