Artist description
The trio, Dog Pookah, adopted it's name from something scrawled with White-Out on a yellowed paneling wall in the basement of a college rooming house in St. Cloud, Minnesota. For years we played covers of Velvet Underground, Basement Tapes Dylan, Neil Young, assorted '80's punk and Brian Eno. Now we're older and hold more or less regular jobs and write all our own songs. We try to have the music exist in a space, with air and atmosphere, encouraging occasional sonic accidents & interaction. Live performances include the use of video & projected stills which are original entirely produced & assembled by band members, as well as other visual devices to provide distraction & stray focus for the audience. Trying to provide the 'maximum stimuli for your entertainment dollars'. |
