nonchalant, dia hides behind her bobbed braids, as her piercing stare slowly turns on a smile you can’t resist. and if you listen closely she’s always humming a tune. when asked if music will always be a part of her life, she shifts her braids from her face and simply replies with a nod “God has put a song in my heart. not relenting to the pressure of being "labeled", i'm an artist pressing ahead with creating an atmosphere where i can freely release my creative and sometimes dramaticly expressive emotions through song and poetry, without being tightcast and/or sensored."
"i do believe martin luther king, jr. said it best".
our lives began to end the day we become silent about things that matter - mlk,jr.

Artist History
dia 's move from los angeles to atlanta, in 1995 has proven to be an essential step in her career as a vocalist and writer. dia has disciplined herself to maintain a solid business foundation in the entertainment industry by listening, learning and researching the business of music. stressing the importance of entertainers networking and learning the business, dia channels her passion, entrepreneurial spirit, blood, sweat and tears into focusing on music, art, technology and charity. her goal is to promote her branded “creative attitude” along side her cd project.
she has opened for such great performers as the whispers, bob baldwin, 100 black men and numerous jazz artists, r&b and funk bands. volunteering her time with fund for southern community, georgia black united fund, and the national jazz association, dia has learned to use the stumbling blocks as stepping stones along the way.
