Artist History Asteroid Andy formed in December 1997 from the ashes of Auckland band Whisper and Christchurch band Dead Fish. The original line up included Keri and Otto as well as Matt O?Neill on guitars and Paul Harris on bass. However, they both left to pursue professional careers which resulted in the current line up and includes Suzanne Mavoa on bass and Ben Wyness (from Cranking Dream) on guitar.The name Asteroid Andy comes about courtesy of a headline in Parnell rag, ?The Moon?. The front page featured an article concerning an asteroid (which they named Andy) whose orbit was taking it perilously close to Earth; a vision shared by us at the time as we were embarking on the rocky road toward musical fulfilment that so often results in a fiery end!Since our first gig in April 1998 we have gigged regularly and recorded 12 songs, 3 of which have received radio airpla
