Artist History
Gregg Juhlin, Dag Juhlin and Mike Halston formed the Slugs in March, 1983 in Chicago, Illinois. Band sound engineer Johnny L. was recruited into the Slugs in 1990. The Slugs released singles in 1986, 1987, their debut LP, "Non-Stop Holiday" was released in 1988. In 1990, the Slugs covered 70's hit "Hooked on a Feeling" for a Pravda Records tribute to TV record company K-Tel. The Slugs released the CD "Fort Fun" in 1992 and subsequently landed tracks from this record on "Dawson's Creek", "Party of Five", and "Melrose Place" garnering them a large Internet following. "Junior" is the Slugs' third full length record, and arguably their best work to date. |
