Press Reviews
"Like the late legend Sun Ra, Space Pocket takes music beyond Earth's boundaries, with what is calls 'analog instrumental funkified electric fusion.'" - 2000 Klammie Awards; "Space Pocket puts out tasty bits of spacey sounds ... Try Space Pocket, if you need a little space in your place." - Jay M. Bianchi, proprietor of Quixote's, Aurora CO; "As the musicians jam ... their creative freedom manifests itself in Stringer's improvisations on a Fender Rhodes keyboard." - Brendan O'Bryhm, the Lawrence Journal-World; "Space Pocket plans to keep cranking out its funky jams at live shows to audiences hungry for something that can rarely be recreated in the studio... but don't get confused, these guys aren't faithfully recreating the tired territory of The Grateful Dead and the like, it's more along the lines of Medeski, Martin & Wood..." - J.J. Hensley, the Kansas City Pitch |
