Artist History
We first started playing Indian music in 1996 with Andrei Playing violin and Vladic playing jaw harps and clay pot. I remember a concert we did at the 'Literaturnoe Kafe'. We looked a bit silly because all the other bands played rock! The music then moved towards a more African style when we played at a concert called 'mind protection'. There we played the music of the Fulani tribe of North Benine. Then in a program for Voronezh tv we played our academic program. In the interview we told them about ourselves, how we created our 'hommunculus' and showed them how our sorcerers hats work. This recording gets aired at least once a year! Not long afterwards at a jazz festival we played as 'the ensemble of traditional music of the hommunculs. Andrei played trumpet, Vladiswar - percussion and our guest 'hommunculus Tamara sang. There we played the Hommunculs' song 'Hambul-halaa-alaum'. The concert was very successful and people like us. In the future we hope to seriously rerecord 'abstract songs' and we're already working on ideas for a follow up cd. |
