Artist History
High as kites and bored as tears Mute Angst Envy was born from the coffee stained wooden slabs of the UPSTART CROW in San Jose, California in 1987. Amped to the ceiling on caffeine, nicotine, and amphetamine we lashed out at everything banal. The music was our power, our pride, and our lust. We lived in a world siffused with the hum of amps and crawling blue smoke, cheap beer and skinny black clad girls hovering like cats in the edge of the light, spotlights and burning cigarettes. Mute Angst Envy was more electric than molecules, louder than God... Guitars spitting like lions, vicious and bloodthirsty, drums pounding like the heart of the Leviathon, voices rise and fall like angels damned, clawing at the heavens. |
