Artist History
Mark Andersen hasn't been playing or recording for over a year now, not since he erased his complete 2nd CD in a fit of anger(or, as Mark suggested, boredom?). Almost 9 months of recording ...poof! "It just wasn't happening, explained Mark, so I decided to walk away from music for a while. It got to be a drag for me". Mark has started to write and play again but won't say if this will result in a new album or not. He is an enigmatic man, who best communicates through his songs, which are highly original takes on the human experience. Let's hope he gives us a new batch of songs to ponder. There aren't many songwriters left, and we can ill afford to lose another. Oh yeah, buy his sampler cd. NOW! You owe it to yourself. - T. Nygaard(Nightowl Music) |

Press Reviews
Listen.com Review:"Andersen is a clever lyricist("Everyone's a TV talk show/Everything's Michael Stipe" is a particularly nifty pass) whose gutsy music ranges from rollicking hard rock anthems to easy-going Alt-Rock. Good production and strong playing throughout."Internet Radio Free Kansas:"Andersen's music is Alternative with a kick! Highly melodic songs with top notch musicianship and vocals. Couple that with an intelligent lyrical ability and you've got an original, fresh new artist. Andersen is certainly one to watch. A thinking person's music." |
