Artist description
Here’s some songs that have a lot of words. I like words. I like cheese. I like Jonathan Richman and Elvis Costello and Magnetic Fields and Billy Bragg and Cracker. If those guys had a gig, but their instruments didn’t arrive and they had to play with fiddles, and accordians, and stand up basses and their drummer punched a wall in and could only play on one song…well, that’s kinda what the music on this record would sound like. I like words you can understand without having a psychic connection with the artist.I live in New York City and come from Virginia. My music is somewhere in between those two. (Delaware?) Some songs are funny. Some are kinda dark. I like it when people can tell the difference. If you buy the record, ($12 + $2 for shipping and handling – 502 East 12th St. #4, NY, NY 10009) you’ll like the packaging ‘cause it looks like an old brown notebook with the lyrics handwritten on real notebook paper. It won design awards baby!I like playing throughout NYC with a band with electric guitar, cello, violin, acoustic guitar and drums. Check out the website for show times www.geocities.com/bradykevin.I like brevity.Enjoy, k |

Music Style
Clever, melodic songs that rock or are haunting and played with instruments normally reserved for country music. Antifolk? Emorock? |

Press Reviews
"Wry, clever, self-depracating lyrics, mixed with an evocative voice and unique instrumentation make this a record not to be missed." Harrison West, "Acoustic Live Press""Brown Eyed Girl" may be the funniest song I’ve heard in the last 10 years". James Talren, "New York Rock""I simply love this record. Brady is an impressive lyricist with the rare ability to seamlessly go from funny to poignent. And I can’t get the damn songs out of my head. Gary Hawthorne, "WNRN Radio""Dude, the record is great!" Gary Arnold, Producer/Engineer – "The Schramms" |
