Artist description
Playing the piano for more than 14 years, the 16 year old cruxx has spent most of his time writing Film music. While he still does that, he recently expanded into a combination of jazz and techno, a feat not quite attempted by anyone else. Mostly piano driven, the music evokes emotions unlike anything else. For the orchestral pieces, he always writes them with a visual image in mind. For example, the piece "Madness" was written with a feeling of tension and pressure. The name cruxx of course comes from the word Crux which means 1)a turning point or pivotal moment 2)a puzzling problem |

Music Style
It has an electronic techno beat, but the hints of jazz and rock give it a totally different feel. crux is also a film composer. |

Artist History
With 14 years of piano, 7 years of clarinet, and 1 year of guitar going for him, 16 year old Matt Leonard began writing music at the age of 8. Back then it was mostly new age piano (hints of which can be heard on certain tracks). After that he took a shot at film scoring: a style which he still writes. Doing mostly traditional John Williams style soundtrack music, he realized that all of the music in films sounded the same. It was then that he tried his hand at a techno jazz. |
