Artist description
Charles A. Wilson is a freelance arranger/keyboardist living in Portland, OR. While Mr. Wilson considers himself primarily a musical arranger, arranging brass and full orchestra charts for various artists not only in the Portland area, but throughout the nation, he is also an accomplished keyboard player, especially with synthesizers and Hammond B3, being able to create arrangements "on the fly" in performances. Mr. Wilson's formal education was pursued at the prestigious Grove School of Music in Los Angeles, CA, where he studied keyboard performance, music arranging and composition with some of the music industries top arrangers and performers. Mr. Wilson has won several musical awards for performance, including being a regional finalist in the Yamaha Electone Festival, and is also an award winning composer with his latin/jazz composition "Pachanga". Mr. Wilson is the band director at Turning Point Christian Center in Vancouver WA, as well as playing and arranging the music for the Deacon Blues Band. Charles is currently working on recording some of his original jazz compositions and arrangements for a possible CD release. |
